"The romantic novel, Kadan and Redfeather, is a fanciful tale of a young girl who has been left alone by the death of her father and brother in the Civil War. It is the story of nineteenth century Missouri, and the characters who inhabit the growing city of Springfield, in the center of the state.
Falling in love with a half breed Indian, the heroine builds up the ranch left behind by her father, protecting the land from the onslaught of villainous forces who would take it from her. Adventures in this fast moving saga include assaults, attacks, and abductions, with the heroine being moved through the story line in many directions, from being kidnapped by a rival tribe to being sold into the circus by a disgruntled ranch hand with a chip on his shoulder.
At every turn, the hero, Ethan Anton Redfeather is there for her, coming to her rescue in true form of the western champion. Numerous steamy scenes punctuate the love story that weaves the fabric of the storyline.
The book is a quick and entertaining read, and we recommend this tale for anyone enjoying the romantic novel.

Born on February 14, 1955, it was a Monday morning at 3 A.M., to Mr. and Mrs. Doyle and LaVada Offill. She was born a little blonde girl in the Davis County Hospital, located in Bloomfield Iowa. Carolyn lived in Bloomfield as a child, then moved to Missouri as a young adult, which she considers to be her home to this day. Carolyn loves animals, including her dog, Tyson, a long haired miniature Dachshund, her two cats, Miss T, and Simon the Siamese. Carolyn is an Aquarian by the Zodiac, and shows it by raising fish in her home aquarium. Injured in a farm accident when she was young, Carolyn is disabled by a spine injury, complicated by Multiple Sclerosis, a nerve disorder. The advent of the computer and the internet has opened up the world to her, and she spends many hours surfing the web, writing to friends, and has just completed her first full length literary work, the novel, Kadan and Redfeather . Long fascinated by Native American culture, and the lifestyle of the American west, this novel about a post-Civil War romance is just what the doctor ordered for anyone who believes in true love. Some of the experiences that Ms. Offill writes about parallel those she has been a part of, including ranching beef cattle, and running a farm. Still, her rich imagination, and fanciful nature, fuels a fast moving story of a young girl and her quest for true love as an orphaned young lady in a wild west world.
