I know I would have liked just a tiny bit more resolution, but aside from that, I loved it. I loved who Rose chose. I loved seeing her in action. And well, I’ll miss her smart mouth, but am looking forward to becoming acquainted with Sydney and the alchemists in the companion series Bloodlines.

‘Last Sacrifice’ marks the sixth book in Richelle Mead’s ‘Vampire Academy’ series and the last book told primarily from Rose Hathaway’s perspective...if you are a fan of the ‘Vampire Academy’ series, you must either buy (you know you got a money-lope in your stocking) or borrow this latest installment.

Mead’s Vampire Academy series started out strong but peaked with the fourth book. Although the last installment is more fizzle than sizzle, “Last Sacrifice” manages to tie up loose ends while introducing new story lines for Mead’s upcoming young-adult series featuring another character.

There are some surprises, some things that were expected, and some ends that are left a little loose, but overall it was a breathless ride on the coaster of YA vampire fiction. I truly hope you enjoy it.

LOVED it. In my opinion, it’s as good as the very books that addicted us to the angst in the first place. Twists and turns like you never expected, and the behind the scenes deception is in depth. I didn’t see it coming. More than one surprise, at that (and as usual, it’s not always about Rose). You’ll see. You’ll all see.

The final ending was awesome. I loved it and loved the fact that while it finished off the story it still left much open to pick up in the future and Mead has teased she will.

I really liked this book, I loved the direction the author took things and how the story ended. I wasn’t disappointed at all. Last Sacrifice has depth, it poses questions – all the books in the series do – but this last one was the most serious, in my opinion.

In place of a plot, we got a wrap-up – and while it didn’t make for a complete, compelling story, there is still something satisfying about seeing these characters through to the end. I just wish this book had done a better job of getting there.

I enjoyed Last Sacrifice enormously, it was everything I was hoping it would be. I must admit that in the closing chapters I had tears in my eyes. Rose stays true to herself...Obviously having a strong female lead is what kept my attention but it also has a fine story arc that holds the series together...

Last Sacrifice is the perfect end to the Vampire Academy series. I’m not happy that there are no more books in the series but I am very satisfied with the way things ended. Richelle Mead pretty much tied everything up, leaving just a few loose ends that I am sure will be addressed in the Bloodlines series.

I’m surprised how much I enjoyed this book. I started it simply because I wanted to finish this series but this was the most enjoyable book in the series...Lissa seemed to finally find her backbone when she was alone and had to manage without Rose. Rose finally chooses between Adrian and Dimitri...
