Life is hard enough for Nate and his sister Sylvia in post-apocalypse Chicago. When Sylvia falls ill, Nate embarks on a desperate mission to get help. He heads to the one sane place left in all the chaos and debris: The Harold Washington Library, which is policed by librarians in cardigans and sub-machine guns. To get there, he has to pass through territory controlled by the crooks and thugs that run the city now. Will he be able to get to the library and get help for his sister before it's too late? Without his library card?
