Felicity rather slowly and deliberately knocked her spoon onto the floor: “Oh dear!” she said. “I seem to have dropped my fork.”

“Well then ask for another one!” Natasha said grumpily.

“But can you pick it up for me?” Felicity asked, widening her eyes.

“I’m sorry?” Natasha began. “You are dining with an international superstar at her expense, and you want her to pick up your fork for you?! I don’t think so!”

“Pick it up please!” Felicity said firmly. “I am asking you to pick it up!” So saying, she popped a spring roll between her plump lips and bit into it as seductively as she could.

Natasha stared at Felicity and Felicity stared back.

Then Natasha spoke: “Is there a side of you I didn’t realize, Felicity?”

“There might be”, said the stewardess.

“A side that’s kind of annoying but sort of, well, a little bit appealing?” (That characteristic raised eyebrow again!)

“Well you tell me!” Felicity said, “Please pick up my fork for me!”

Natasha pushed out her chair and began to stand. “Well,” she said, “since you said please…”

And within a moment, she had disappeared under the table!

Had anyone noticed? Felicity looked around the restaurant. Just a few people were visible from that secluded corner and they seemed to be carrying on happily with their meals and conversations. The light blue tablecloths hung low and Natasha could not be seen from anywhere. If the waitress came back, she would presumably surmise that Natasha had gone to the bathroom.

It was while Felicity was mentally running through these calculations that she felt the touch of a hand on one knee, then another hand on the other knee. Felicity’s felt her knees being parted a little now and the next thing she felt was the silky touch of hair, still in a bun, on each of her inner thighs. My goodness, was Natasha about to do what Felicity thought she was going to do? The stewardess poured herself some more champagne and tried to look casual...
