Django Mathijsen is the only author who has won the Unleash Award, the Dutch SF story award with the highest purse, three times. After he'd won it twice in a row, a publisher asked him to write this novel. It was published in Dutch in March 2010 and is based on the short story for which Django won his second Unleash Award.
This science fiction techno-thriller is set around the year 2040. A programmer of robotic cars loses everything when he is accused of terrorism. Hunted by the police, Mando hides with the real terrorists and discovers a conspiracy for mass murder. Who are behind it, what are their motives and what do the Robot Wars championship and a kidnapped combat robot have to do with it? A race against the clock begins. Can Mando stop the terrorists?
