Up and coming photographer Mark Taylor has always dreamed of taking an iconic photograph that can change the way people see the world, so when he has an opportunity to travel to Afghanistan to take pictures for his friend's book to document the difficult life of women in that country, he jumps at the chance. Finally, his chance to make an impact--but the trip turns out differently than he expected when he finds an antique camera in a dusty bazaar.
Back home in Chicago, he discovers that the camera produces photographs of tragedies yet to happen. When he realizes that he can change the outcomes of the photos, he feels compelled do whatever it takes to prevent the tragedies--no matter the risk. And when presented with photos of 9/11 a day before the terrorists strike, what else can he do but attempt to save lives and thwart catastrophe?
