I thought I was losing my mind. Was I seeing what I thought I saw? I had to go back and catch another glimpse. When I saw her again, I knew she was real. A beautiful golden sun mermaid came into my life, and I'll never be the same. Lost in my fantasies, I am able to reach out and touch. Naughty premise, graphic details - (Short story - 4,500 words) Warning: Mature content, Over 18+ Only
I closed my eyes and re opened them, checking my vision. She was sunning herself on the rocks by the shoreline. Her body glimmered of honey amber, the sunshine shimmering and glinting off of the sheen of her gills covering a large portion of her body. If I hadn't seen her face and gorgeous strawberry blonde hair, I would have just thought it was my imagination. When she turned towards me in shock, I knew she was real. This wasn't some hallucination or my imagination running wild. She quickly slid off the rock and jumped back into the water.
I couldn't believe my eyes, were mermaids real? If they were why was she golden orange, and not the aquamarine blues and greens that artists so often chose as the colors of these mythical creatures?
I wanted to chase her into the water, but knew she'd be gone. I was no match, a lumbering man with limited swimming strength. The doggy paddle was my strongest stroke, and while I could
swim a bit of front stroke, it she went more than twenty yards I'd be out of breath.
