Rebecca Emberly has created more than 40 books for children, including a number of highly successful bilingual books. She lives in Kittery, Maine. Edward Randolph Emberley (born October 19, 1931 in Malden, Massachusetts) is an American artist and illustrator. Emberley studied art at the Massachusetts School of Art in Boston, from which he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and illustration. He also studied at the Rhode Island School of Design.He married Barbara, a librarian and writer, in 1955; they have two children, Rebecca and Michael. They currently live in Ipswich, Massachusetts.
