Synopsis

In this playful Christmas caper, mischievous Mucky Pup wants nothing more than to help his human family get ready for this thing they call Christmas. Unfortunately, no one appreciates the kind of help a scruffy puppy can offer, so he is banished to the barnyard. It's not until the next day, when Mucky Pup finds his way home again--quite by accident--that he discovers what Christmas is all about. What a surprise that it turns out to be as much fun as a homesick pup could have! Mucky Pup's heartwarming discovery makes this the perfect holiday tale for puppy lovers of all ages.

Mucky Pup, Ken Brown's first book about the rambunctious flop-eared puppy, was praised by School Library Journal for its "sparkling text...perfectly paired with softly realistic, beautifully crafted watercolors."
