This is the first in the series of stories covering the life of Detective Inspector Victor Moyes in the fictional town of Abberford. Victor carries a lot of baggage with him having been left standing at the altar resulting in his attitude towards women being very bitter. But this attitude gradually changes with the arrival of Detective Constable Victoria Morgan and we follow them as they work together to try and contain the criminal activities of the citizens of Abberford.
