Ex-cop Tyler Henry’s more than a little pissed. A dead sniper tries to take him out while he’s escorting a million-plus in diamonds. Bombs placed by another technically dead man raze his house and kill the woman he’s with as they make love. Tyler loves twisted excess, but even he has reached his limit.

He joins up with Gil Calavanti, his former partner on the force and better judge of what’s reasonable in life. They discover that a number of “deadmen” who are quite alive are gathered in Tucson. In a deal with the devil, Tyler and Gil team up with the Justice Department official who appears to be responsible for the gathering. Bad move. All three become targets.

Gil’s wife, Kat, on an everyday trip to the grocery store, is kidnapped by the leader of the group. And the hunt for them moves from a cool professional approach, to a – kick the doors in and spray everything with .223 caliber – mentality. Along the way, Tyler takes a grenade launcher (not a knife) to a gunfight.

The tone is tense and the pace fast. Gil’s driven to save his wife. Tyler’s driven to take revenge and because he lives for these emotionally charged crazed goofs in life. And the bad guys are making it interesting for them.
