She gives the doctor two tickets, who invites her lover, Lt. John Franklin, to accompany her. During a particualrly rowdy scene, a shot is heard. It seems that the actor playing Stanley Kowalsky has been murdered. Through an idea of Dr. Wells to have the cast reenact the murder scene, Dr. Wells and the Lieutenant are able to apprehend the killer.
