Synopsis

A digest-sized, black-and-white trade paperback reprinting the 4-issue Vertigo miniseries from writer Mike Carey (Lucifer) and artists Sonny Liew and Marc Hempel, My Faith In Frankie tells the story of a girl who discovers that having your own personal deity isn't all it's cracked up to be - particularly when you're trying to get a boyfriend and your god turns out to be jealous! But as Frankie moves precariously into adulthood and her god Jeriven tries to win her back, sinister forces are at work that could spell disaster far beyond a broken heart, and Frankie and Jeriven will both have to do some fast growing-up if they're going to survive.

MIKE CAREY got into writing through comic books, where his horror/fantasy series Lucifer garnered numerous international awards and was nominated for five Eisners. From there he moved into novels and screenplays, while still maintaining a presence in the comics world (he is currently writing two of Marvel's flagship titles, X-Men and Ultimate Fantastic Four). His movie Frost Flowers, an erotic ghost story, is currently in production with Hadaly/Bluestar Pictures. He lives in London, England, about as far as you can get from the centre of the city and still have access to the London Underground train network. His wife, Linda, writes fantasy for young readers under the pseudonym A.J. Lake. They have three children and an implausibly beautiful cat. Sonny Liew was born in Malaysia, but he now lives in Singapore. He has worked on comics, computer games, and illustrations for many different comic and game publishers. He has been a featured illustrator in the critically acclaimed Flight series. Marc Hempel is best known for his collaboration with Neil Gaiman on The Sandman: The Kindly Ones, as well as his own creations Gregory, Tug & Buster, and Naked Brain.
