Synopsis

Guy Strang thought that nothing could be worse than his parents' getting divorced, but now his crazy mom drops the bomb -- she's getting remarried! And not to just anyone. Her intended is a professional clown named Jerry -- Jerry Zuckerman, father of Lana Zuckerman, the meanest, toughest girl in school. Guy and Lana have never had anything in common before, but now they have to put their differences aside and join forces in order to come up with a foolproof plan to stop the wedding and prevent them all from becoming one big, unhappy family.

In the third installment of the Guy series, Sarah Weeks once again displays her uncanny insight and colorful sense of humor with the return of this likable cast of comic characters.

The novel misses no chances for middle-grade yucks--from Bob-o's ceaseless nose picking to Mr. Strang's habit of inhaling oysters through his nostrils and expelling them from his mouth--and the climactic showdown is a virtual chain reaction of buffoonery.
