Kasmet’s new appointment in Karnak as Overseer of the Royal Tomb has been arranged by Isenti, the charismatic High Priestess. She has placed him there to keep her informed. Disturbing rumors are making her anxious about the safety of the Pharaoh. A secret kept by Isisti in the Temple of Isis is also raising the pressure. Determined to protect an ancient vow they use their mysterious powers to intervene and provoke action. The High Priest sends his aide to meet a Sumerian merchant who is eager to help, but two undercover agents smell a rat. At the Labyrinth of the Lake a formidable mage is also making connections. Love affairs, magic and secrets inexorably collide in a race against time in the land of the Nile.

Garth Meaney is a restorer and collector of antiques and antiquities when he's not writing. He lives on the beautiful West coast of Wales UK with his wife and extended family"Handling objects from the past is deeply fascinating. I acquired an arrow head found in a field where Julius Caesar fought and won the battle of Belgae in 57bc. Nine years later he was being enchanted by Cleopatra in Egypt. Inspired by these two facts I indulged my enduring passion for Egyptian culture and wrote Nile God. Mixing research with narrative and storyline has been a real pleasure."Nile God is set in a much earlier period in Egyptian history.
