The Great Commission given in Matthew 28:19 is phrased in two ways: “Go and make disciples” and “go and teach all nations.” Disciples are students; they are people who sit at the feet of a Master, who follow him throughout his daily life, who apprentice to do as he does.
The essays in this book were originally published as articles on Boundless.org. They have been edited and in some cases subtly altered for publication here. This is a book of lessons learned and things sought after, and its central themes are things I have wrestled with over the years: The power of choice. The necessity of conviction. The power of knowing the truth. I hope you will find it practical and also inspiring; that it may give you both feet and wings. I hope, too, that some of the thoughts here may help you to see yourself as part of something greater than yourself: as part of the body of Christ, expressing him in the world and unified with other believers.
