Reading these poems is like standing in the middle of a beautiful heath on a gentle summer's day, only for the skies to begin to lower and for that same generous heath to be transformed, on the instant, into a dark and threatening place. In short, Michelle Young writes poetry as if in alliance with the ghosts that swirl around your soul. Be entranced by her gentle, yet haunting, words.
