You're seventeen, and studying hard for your A levels. How would you like it if you were suddenly adopted by a Great Being, who had been around for ever and knew everything? 'Pretty useful, with all that knowledge and the exams coming up', would be your first reaction, I expect.
But then the Great Being lets slip that the end of the world is just around the corner, and that you have a key role to play in saving mankind. I mean, right in the middle of studying, choosing a future career and writing that Personal Statement for university. Don't Great Beings have any sense of priority?
Just as well Antonia Collins wasn't like you then. There are some people who are up for any challenge thrown in front of them, and she was one of them.
