C. Anne Scott is the author of the picture book "Old Jake's Skirts," Ms. Scott teaches fourth grade in Alpine, Texas, where she lives with her young son. This is her first book for middle-grade readers. Stephanie Roth has illustrated several books for children. She lives in Burnsville, Minnesota with her family. David Slonim is a fine-art painter, a cartoonist, and a children's book illustrator. A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, he now lives in Indiana with his wife and their four children.
