Lori Wilde can't remember a time when she didn't want to write. She even went to nursing school so she could have a schedule flexible enough to allow her to write on the side. She nursed for 20 years, working in a variety of settings from the newborn nursery to the recovery room, to dialysis. But she never lost her desire to write. She sold her first book in 1994 to Silhouette Romance but later discovered she had a flair for comedy and branched out to Harlequin Duets and now, to Blaze.Lori is an adventuresome soul who loves to travel. She's taken flying lessons, completed two marathons, rode in a hot-air balloon, performed with a professional jazz band, traveled Europe as a teenager, hiked volcanoes in Hawaii, trod on glaciers in Alaska, shot white-water rapids, water-skied, snow-skied, raced all-terrain vehicles, bodysurfed in the Gulf of Mexico, and photographed grizzly bears in Yellowstone. She lives in her native Texas, with her own real-life hero, Bill, her red heeler/Australian shepherd dog, Cinnamon, and four ducks, Quacker, Big Guy, Affleck, and Sheepidy. You can visit Lori at her web site: or write to her at Rhonda can't remember when she hasn't had her nose buried in a book, and most likely, her husband can't, either. Though she took several creative writing courses in college, she never considered a career in writing until her mother pointed out - as mothers are everlastingly wont to do - that she should give it a try. Thus, after giving up her dream of becoming an intergalactic princess or a mermaid - it was a toss-up because both are so cool - an author was born! (Thank you, Momma.)Rhonda married her very own hero many moons ago, and she and her family make their home in a small town in northern Alabama. Between volunteering at her children's school (she's practicing a new word called "no") and the typical glamorous duties of a domestic goddess (does it ever end?), she escapes into her office where it's safe to talk to the voices in her head, to tell their stories, and hopefully to entertain her readers. If you like a little giggle amid the sizzle, then her books just might be for you. Did Cara Summers always dream of becoming a writer? Absolutely not! At the age of six, she wanted to become the next Mother Teresa. At eight, her goal was to become a P.I. and drive a car just like Nancy Drew's. In junior high, her interests shi Jill Shalvis writes from her home near Lake Tahoe. She is assisted by her husband (who can't go three minutes without wanting to tell her something), three young children (who can't go one minute without wanting to tell her something), a chicken masquerading as a dog, three hamsters, a million squirrels and the occasional wolf spider. If she's not writing, she's shoveling snow, skiing, or coloring with her kids. You can write to her at P.O. Box 3945, Truckee, CA, 96161. Or you can visit her website at
