Synopsis

In this second volume of the Gorean Series, Tarl Cabot finds himself transported back to Counter-Earth from the sedate life he has known as a history professor on Earth. He is glad to be back in his role as a dominant warrior and back in the arms of his true love. Yet, Tarl finds that his name on Gor has been tainted, his city defiled, and all those he loves have been made into outcasts. He is no longer in the position of a proud warrior, but an outlaw for whom the simplest answers must come at a high price

About John Norman

See more books from this Author
John Norman is the creator of the Gorean Saga, the longest-running series of adventure novels in Science Fiction history. Starting in December, 1966, with TARNSMAN OF GOR, the series was put on hold after its 25th installment, MAGICIANS OF GOR, in 1988, when DAW refused to publish its successor, WITNESS OF GOR. After several unsuccessful attempts to find a trade publishing outlet, E-Reads brought the series back into print in 2001, and after WITNESS OF GOR (2002), PRIZE OF GOR (2008), KUR OF GOR (2009), SWORDSMEN OF GOR (2010) and MARINERS OF GOR (2011), they are now preparing the 2012 release of CONSPIRATORS OF GOR. Norman has also produced a separate, three-installment science fiction series, THE TELNARIAN HISTORIES, plus two other fiction works (GHOST DANCE and TIME SLAVE), a nonfiction paperback (IMAGINATIVE SEX) and a collection of thirty short stories, entitled NORMAN INVASIONS. THE TOTEMS OF ABYDOS is scheduled in Spring, 2012. All of Norman's work is available both in print and in ebook formats. The Internet has proven to be a fertile ground for the imagination of Norman's ever growing fanbase, and at Gor Chronicles (www.gorchronicles.com ), a web site specially created for his tremendous fan following, one may read everything there is to know about this unique fictional culture. John Norman was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1931. He is married and has three children.
