Synopsis

Gelsem is a shy thirteen year-old girl who hates to travel. When she's kidnapped and then abandoned in a foreign land, Gelsem wants nothing more than to return to her quiet life and home. She fully expects her family to rush to her rescue, but learns that they might not even remember her. Gelsem is on her own. In Panjandrum, conniving politicians, wicked mind-controlling tree spirits, and a murderous sculptor determined to turn all the children of the land into macabre statuary hide around every corner. Gelsem must dodge them all if she wants to survive her new life as an outcast and perpetual tourist. Gelsem’s story begins with Panjandrum (294 pp., tpb, $11.50) and allows readers to enter the new and original world of the Aerolith Adventures.
