When Pauline’s employer realizes that there may have been an embezzler in their midst, Pauline a recent college ’84 Criminal Justice grad dreams of solving her first mystery. Mr. Mead, Pauline’s boss at the local San Xavier Post Office teams Pauline up with Matthew Grayson, a building inspector and former San Francisco police detective, 13 years her senior. Perplexed and bewildered Pauline Schmidt hopes that her new assignment will lead to a dream job on her local San Xavier police force and maybe a romance with Matt along the way.

While handsome Matt pretends to be Pauline’s new love interest, Matt tows Pauline around the Arizona city, where they discover a dead body! Now they are involved in a murder investigation!
