Synopsis

A tender look at friendships and how being different can have its rewards from Kate Greenaway nominee, Richard Byrne.
     Gregory the gull and Hudson the penguin are the best of friends. When Gregory learns to fly, Hudson feels left out. But when Gregory gets into trouble, it's Hudson who comes to his rescue, discovering he also has a wonderful skill.

New to the picture book world Richard is an up and coming picture book creator with his first two books, Millicent and Meer and This Book Belongs to Aye-Aye, being nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal 2012. He lives in Chichester with his wife and two children.

The illustrations are fun and quirky and, in fact, they as so good, the book has been nominated for the Kate Greenaway Medal which rewards excellent illustrations in children’s books.
