Synopsis

Many years ago a Swedish farmer died, leaving all his worldly possessions to his three sons. The eldest inherited the farm, a sturdy work horse, and a plow. The middle son came by a fine riding horse. But Per, the youngest son, received only a handsomely carved and painted Dala horse.
