Mike Downs is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and the father of three children. He won the 1998 Hawaii Children's Literature Award for his manuscript There's a Leopard in My Laundry. This is his first book.David Sheldon was born in Cincinnati and began his career as an illustrator in 1985. He has since drawn for books, magazines and television including the toy log "ads" in Ren & Stimpy. He lives in Kentucky.
