Randy Dunlap is the first of his kind, a private detective who uses hypnosis to solve crimes. Among the cases in which he employs hypnosis to prove the guilt of dangerous criminals are: that of a high school counselor who sexually assaults a15-year-old-girl; and that of a step-father who murders his step-son.

Dunlap takes only cases involving major crimes in wich the accused party appears likely to escape punishment for he crime he is accused of. Dunlap is clever, bold and fearless as he pursues dangerous criminals.
