This is an account of Russell W. Peterson's life and the battles he has fought, despite tremendous opposition, to further social justice and environmental integrity. In addition to working in private industry, Peterson was governor of Delaware, chairman of the President's Council on Environmental Quality, director of the Office of Technology Assessment of the U.S. Congress, and president of the National Audubon Society.
