Josephina likes to fiddle and fidget with things to figure out how they work. On school picture day, her curiosity begins on the school bus. When she fusses with the gearshift, her spruced-up classmates get splattered with oil. As the photographer sets up the class shot, Josephina fiddles with the sprinkler system, and they all get drenched. When she fidgets with the heating system, they are covered with soot. Will the class photo ever get taken? Josephina finally puts her tinkering to good use in this rambunctious read-aloud about a common school event.
