Synopsis

T. E. Lawrence (1888-1935), a British officer who became known as “Lawrence of Arabia”, wrote this autobiographical account of his experiences in the Middle East during World War I while serving as a liaison officer with Arab forces during the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Turks (1916-1918).

The Seven Pillars of Wisdom is part poetry, part philosophical reflection, part historical account of Lawrence's role in the Desert Campaign with the Arab rebels . . . and, in many ways, incredibly honest and revealing.
