With its multiple sub-plots, Shadow Kiss is a little slow at first as the story builds, but the last third of the book is action-packed...Richelle Mead changes the game with Shadow Kiss and leaves me wondering what could possibly happen now. An excellent half-way point in an exceptionally great series.

Surprise, surprise she has done it again! Another great book. Shadow Kiss was outstanding... This book is a bit darker than the previous books, but I think that road had to taken considering all of the things Rose has gone through. The story is captivating as always and the emotion that I felt is just unbelievable.

All in all, this is the best book in the series thus far, as far as I'm concerned. The characters are developed a lot more, and the plot is well thought out and blends very well with the rest of the books. If you are interested in reading Vampire Academy, look forward to this installment, you will not be disappointed.

While the plot is thick and intertwined throughout the book, I can’t tell much more without ruining the story. I will just say that it is a perfect compliment to part two, and you MUST read this series. This third book, however, ends on quite the cliffhanger, and I am anxiously awaiting the next release...

I'm seriously impressed by Mead's mythology and world building in this book...It's obvious that the story arc has been planned from book one. I never get the impression that backstory is forced in mid-book to make things work...The ending was perfect (and necessary I feel) and means that everything has to change
