Synopsis

The final quarter is a bit slow and complicated, but Coben is a good guide and “the pieces of the puzzle finally come together …” somewhere toward the end. This may not be the hardworking author’s best work, but it’s not far off the pace.

I'd never read a Harlan Coben novel before, but this fast-paced, dramatic, often violent, but intense story kept me transfixed. Every time I thought I'd discovered what had happened to Natalie, or assumed I knew what was coming next, there was a twist and I was taken off in a different direction.
