Synopsis

"Agnis had her life figured out.
At fourteen years old, and the second oldest in a family of five children, she knew her place. She's the helpful one: responsible, hard-working, and completely un-spectacular. But while something deep inside keeps telling her that being ordinary is not good enough, she's determined to be happy with the way things are.
Which just goes to show how little she really knows.
On a moonless night, Agnis's father evacuates the family right before their home burns to the ground, but Agnis makes a mistake and is left behind. Sacred and totally alone, she sets out to find them, only to discover that her father isn't who she thought he was, and her whole family is being hunted by multiple frightening organizations. She needs to find out why she is able to manipulate others' emotions just by touching them. She needs her parents ... but she has no idea where they have gone.
As she searches, she struggles to over come her sheltered upbringing, and learns the dangers of being a fortunate. In order to find her family, she must imerse herself in the obscure but powerful secret that will either open the way to find them, or take her life. "
