Belinda Hollyer was born in New Zealand and has also lived and worked in Australia and the United States. She has worked as a teacher, a librarian, and a publisher. Now a full-time writer, she has written and compiled a number of books for adults and children, including She's All That! Poems About Girls and the award-winning Kingfisher Book of Family Poems. Sophy Williams has illustrated for a number of well-known writers including Geraldine McCaughrean, Michael Rosen, and Jill Paton-Walsh.
