Strength for the Day--Poetry to Lift the Spirit by David Y Bevington

Do you really believe that all things work together for good when we love God and fit into His plan? The majority of people I proposed that question to groaned a healthy, “no.” I believe God DOES have a purpose for your life and my life, and want to share poetry that reflects that theme.

We can't go wrong in imitating The Apostle Paul’s approach to suffering. Paul could be chained in a filthy jail infested with bedbugs, roaches and rats. He still witnessed for Jesus. In fact he was singing Psalms, praying and witnessing by his attitude when God intervened and opened the prison doors. He believed that God could take the worst situations and turn them around for something good, and God did just that.

I want my poetry to reflect the truth that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever, and I want to share my faith that nothing is impossible with God.

When we know we are in the center of God's will, we will stop taking guilt trips. We will relax. We will believe that everything will work out for good because we have that perspective. Through whatever life brings, we will gain strength to cope with whatever happens.

My poetry stresses the message that God loves you and has a plan for your life. I hope this is the message you will accept. My prayer is that God will use my poetry to bring glory to Himself. Feel welcome to use my poetry and pass it on to your friends. --Shalom, David Y Bevington
