Overall, I enjoyed STRUCK and the vivid dystopian wasteland Bosworth created.
Full ReviewI never bought the premise or understood it beyond: “that’s how it is written in the book so suck it up”.
Full ReviewAgain, this is the sort of book that has a lot of potential, but things went awry somewhere down the line...
Full ReviewDark and ridiculous by turns, there isn't much fresh material here.
Full ReviewIt’s more realistic that so many dystopian books because it deals with the cataclysmic even and the direct aftermath.
Full ReviewOn the surface Struck is an action packed doomsday story, but it’s got an underlying theme of religious brainwashing that I absolutely loved.
Full ReviewAn interesting take on a paranormal dystopian, but I just wish that there wasn't that hint of insta-love going on...
Full ReviewThe reason why I found this difficult to read was because it kept referencing the apocalyptic cliches.
Full ReviewI found it a little lackluster, the plot is fairly easy to figure out and the ending all too neatly wrapped up.
Full ReviewIt was ridiculously engaging and actually taught me quite a bit about storms and lightning and natural disasters.
Full ReviewIt was a really good read, and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique story that hasn't been told before!
Full ReviewBosworth’s world-building enthralled me.
Full ReviewCharacterization is great for the Price family, the writing is clean and nuanced with occasional appearances of something more lyrical.
Full ReviewThe main story was very interesting and I truly wanted to love it, but as I couldn’t really connect to the characters...
Full ReviewThis book didn’t grab me at all, with there being little depth or development to the main character and a weak plot resolution.
Full Review...Mia drove me absolute bonkers... I couldn't connect with her on anything...
Full ReviewAll in all, Struck had a promising concept that just didn't deliver for me.
Full ReviewThe characters are good, the writing's brilliant, the world building is original and refreshing, and it hooks you in at the very first page and finishes with a bang.
Full ReviewJennifer Bosworth's writing in Struck allows you to easily follow the action, connect with the main characters, and it paints a picture that allows you to easily visualize Mia's world.
Full Review...the novel as a whole just didn't rock my world like I wanted it to.
Full ReviewStruck fit my need for a fast-paced tale that would keep me turning pages.
Full ReviewStruck was one crazy, adrenaline-filled ride... my heart is still pounding!
Full ReviewFiercely intense, the action pummels the reader’s mind without revealing the truth that Mia uncovers in the last few pages.
Full ReviewStruck is a thrilling dystopian with an intricate idea, an unforgettable heroine, an electric (funny, I am) romance, and an ending that just begs for a sequel!
Full ReviewJennifer Bosworth will certainly hook readers with her thrill-ride of a debut novel.
Full ReviewI know this is a book I will not forget and Jennifer has made a lifelong fan out of me.
Full Review...Stuck will be a hit amongst the readers...
Full ReviewHowever, despite these complaints, I still enjoyed Struck, and raced through it quite quickly.
Full ReviewThe middle of the book felt too long and drawn out with parts that kept repeating with no real results.
Full Review...I wasn't really convinced about the story as a whole and the small details were lacking for me.
Full ReviewStruck by Jennifer Bosworth is a book you will have to stick with to get through the slower beginning... But it is definitely worth it!
Full ReviewThere are so many delicious characters that offer counterpoints to Mia.
Full ReviewStruck by Jennifer Bosworth is an extremely fast-paced read with really well done characterization.
Full Review...fast paced, filled with gut wrenching action, a plot that will sweep you off your feet, and a cast of characters that are all unique...
Full ReviewI enjoyed Struck. I loved the dynamic Bosworth created between Mia and her family, the pacing was spot on and the plot was unique and refreshing - I don't even know what I would compare it to!
