Synopsis

This book is about Summer whose mom died when she was two. Her dad was sent to prison a couple of years later. It explores her feelings of sadness from losing both of her parents. Through counseling, family support, and regular visits to see her dad, Summer is a happy little girl again.

Summer is seven-year-old little girl who lives without her mom and dad. Her mom died of cancer when she was only two. She now lives in the sky with Jesus. Her dad went to prison when she was five and now she lives with my grandmamma Bae-Bae and on weekends and holidays, she spends time with her stepmamma, Sharonda and her other grandmamma, Mrs. Lowe. At school, Summer make good grades. She likes to read books and write her own stories. Summer enjoys playing with her friends. Summer also enjoys visiting with her dad on weekends. Together, they write stories.
