"A little spider unexpectedly gets carried home from a tree farm in the holiday Christmas tree. The little spider finds himself in a strange new home but shortly becomes comfortable in it and full of questions about the holiday called Christmas. The spider also realizes that he is all alone and he wonders about how he will grow up. In the days before Christmas he watches a family prepare for a holiday he knows little about. He learns by listening and by being patient. He learns new words that eventually all come together to help him understand the holiday called Christmas.
The illustrations are done by the author and enrich the captured imagination created by the written words of the story."
