His specialty, the American foreign policy process, encompasses both international relations and American politics, and he has taught courses and published in both areas. Among other works, his books include "You Decide! Current Debates in American Politics" (8 editions), "International Politics on the World Stage" (12 editions), and "Taking Sides: Clashing Views in International Politics" (15 editions).
