It captures the lifestyle of a cruising couple as they cope with the daily struggles of speaking a foreign language to the mishaps of clogged plumbing. The story is told through the eyes of the author. Possibly with only one eye open. Sail along as this couple weaves their way from a small town in Arkansas to South America and back.

Growing up in a small town in southwest Arkansas Steve dreamed of seeing the world. Upon graduation from college he joined the army to see the world. The army sent him to Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. In Texas Steve survived a helicopter crash from 3000 feet. Feeling there had to be a much better way to see the world he married and convinced his wife they should sell everything they own and go sailing. After seeing a small piece of the world in a slow moving sailboat, Steve and his wife Beverly returned to central Arkansas.
