Were you born between 1944 and 1953? If so, welcome to the "Hippest Generation" . . . the Baby Boomers
This is a light account of what we did and who we loved; our music, dances, and influences of the time shaped who we are today. A laid back, wiser being, with the benefits of knowledge and maturity and the grace of modern medicine and our spirit that allow us to be as young as we want to be internally, where it counts.
Many of us are still "doing our thing" as the Isley Brothers suggested we do so many years ago in their song.
We created the sexual revolution, we enjoyed free love, we freely smoked pot at our concerts, indoors and out (remember Woodstock?) and thought nothing of picking up a hitchhiker (a stranger) on the road and giving them a ride. We learned from it, and moved on. I don't ever recall masses of people getting hurt.
Going back a little further, I recalled a time when we played outside from early morning until the street lights came on. It's amazing how we had so much fun without technology . . . I was the double dutch champion in my town in the 1958.
I hope you find this book an easy read, and that you enjoy a stroll down memory lane.
