Synopsis

The first in a series on key historical periods, launching with the Romans and Ancient Egyptians and followed by the Vikings and Ancient Greeks. Each spread explores a different theme or topic specific to Ancient Egyptian culture, such as pharoahs, mummies, pyramids, gods, the Nile, hieroglyphs and a timeline. Illustrated by graphic novelist Isabel Greenberg and researched by her sister, Imogen Greenberg, this series of books are presented as comic strips which offer a fresh and accessible entry point to core educational topics for children 8+.

IMOGEN GREENBERG is a London-based writer and graduate of ancient history, and a freelance journalist writing about arts, culture and heritage in London. This is her first children's book.ISABEL GREENBERG is a London-based illustrator. Her first graphic novel 'The Encyclopedia of Early Earth' was published in 2013 by Jonathan Cape in the UK, Random House in Canada and Little Brown in the US. Her clients include The Guardian, Nobrow Press, The National Trust, Seven Stories Press, Solipsistic Pop, First Second and The New York Times. In 2011 she won the Observer Jonathan Cape Graphic short story prize. She exhibited work in the Memory Palace exhibition at the V&A, and was a select at Pick Me Up 2014 at Somerset House. These are her first books for children.
