For the past twenty years Francine Esterro has lived a peaceful and uneventful life in the town of Bluffington. When a mysterious stranger suddenly purchases the home of her best friend living across the street, she becomes panicked. Up in the attic of the house across the street is a device that long ago turned the life of her and her three best friends upside down by sending them back a decade in time. She knows she must make contact with this stranger and soon finds out he has a direct connection to her past. As much as she wants to stay away and forget the events that unfolded long ago, the painful memories of what happened in the attic return, forcing her strangely towards the stranger. She soon finds herself inside Bill's old house working alongside the stranger as he delves to explore the history of the four students that vanished many years ago.
Francine begins to fall in love with the stranger but each new day exploring the past brings back more memories and with each memory more pain. She knows has no choice but to reveal the truth that she had fought so hard to forget. She finally breaks down and reveals how the four young art students from Bluffington found themselves transported back in time trying desperately to find their way home only to fall upon disaster and tragedy that would not see them all make it back alive.
