Synopsis

Lord Valentine Lathan has found a mystery involving the lovely Phoebe Thorpe and a set of twins, twins he knew nothing about—but who resembled him! And he has never met Miss Thorpe! Angered beyond belief, the handsome and extremely well-connected Lord Lathan sets out to wreak vengeance upon her with all the weapons at his command. He first does his worst to cast a shadow on her good name in the top levels of society, and then attempts to force her to choose a husband from the most impossible of suitors. But Phoebe soon finds that she has roused more than the anger of this infuriatingly irresistible gentleman; she had set aflame his desires as well.
