For Cass, the trip to Mexico was both holiday and work, for she was to visit the Ibarra gem mines to see the origins of the lovely stones she used, and to gain inspiration from the country to use in future jewellery designs. She had been unable to prevent Derek Prentice accompanying her, and as her boss’s son he was not easy to deflect. It didn’t help to discover that Miguel Ibarra was not expecting them. Just when Cass felt she’d begun to make a better impression on Miguel, Derek became difficult, and Cass was introduced to Miguel’s fiancée! She no longer knew what to think—would Mexico be the summit of her dreams, or the loss of all hope?
