Synopsis

Easter 1969' is coming to the Appalachian town of Flynn City, and no one is any more excited than The Flynn City Egg Man.The eccentric peddler can finally make amends to the townsfolk for all his bad business dealings. He has a plan to have the best Easter ever, and hopefully the most profitable hawking his Easter goodies.

It all turns sour, when, Sandy True, the queen bee of Flynn City High, and the school's popular head cheerleader turns up missing. The Egg Man becomes the suspect in a town where suspicion is leveled at everyone. If that's not enough trouble brewed, Sandy's jealous boyfriend Tyler plans to take matters into his own hands.

A seventeen-year-old reluctant hero, Cuffy Landers, joins in the fray when he accidentally ends up with a letter of Sandy's. It's contents will surely knock her from her throne. Cuffy befriends the Egg Man, but will it be enough to save him from Tyler's wrath when he discovers Sandy's class ring in the Egg Man's panel truck?

This novel is a romp through Appalachia with rumors of kidnapping, murder, and mayhem in a part of the coal patch everyone would love to leave. Just how far will some people go to escape the dying town? Recommended for readers of all ages. An inspiring coming of age novel with great lessons.

A Flynn City Christmas available now.
