JAN PECK is a full-time writer and a former freelance editor for Boys' Life magazine. Her writing has appeared in Humpty Dumpty, Highlights for Children, and Chicken Soup for the Kid's Soul. She is an active member of the Texas chapter of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. David Davis is Founder of the International Studies in Drama in Education, University of Central England. Carin Berger is an award-winning designer, artist, and creator of such picture books as The Little Yellow Leaf and A Perfect Day, among others. She assembled the dioramas, shadow boxes, and cut-paper collages in this book from ephemera--catalogues, old books, receipts, letters, and ticket stubs--as well as cigar boxes. Carin Berger lives in New York City.
