Bill Jedburgh, is a former Royal Hong Kong Police Inspector trained as a sniper and bodyguard. Disenchanted with the Force he has resigned and, encouraged by a dubious entrepreneur, takes up a new occupation as an anonymous, freelance hitman called The Reliable Man. Relaxing at his beachfront property in Thailand he hears that one of his old police buddies has been killed under weird circumstances. Soon the Singapore Intelligence Serviceis knocking on his door demanding that he look into the matter and take whatever action may be necessary.
