Cheryl Owen began her career as a fashion designer and pattern cutter before moving on to writing instructions and drawing scale patterns for a well-known sewing pattern manufacturer. A best-selling author, she has written more than 40 craft books and is a project designer and maker for home style and craft magazines. She is the author of many books, mostly recently Love Sewing, The Book of Bags and Home Sewing Techniques. Contributing editor Alison Lindsay has been scrapbooking ever since she realised it was a hobby that allowed her to combine a lifetime of photographs with the crafts she loves. She especially enjoys scrapbooking holiday and heritage photographs. Alison is currently special projects coordinator on a leading scrapbook magazine, Scrapbook Craft. As well as writing many magazine features on the subject, Alison gives regular talks and demonstrations at craft fairs and hobby groups across the U.K.
