Synopsis

Set against the backdrop of the English Civil War, this story tells a harrowing tale of injustice and resolute courage. During a time of social upheaval further aggravated by a widespread fear of witchcraft, two unlikely characters are thrown together in a maelstrom of jealousy and superstition. The infamous Witch finder, Matthew Hopkins, broadens his net over the fearful populace. His sinister menace devouring all righteousness in its destructive path. Only the purity of love and impassioned courage has any hope of ending Hopkins’ hateful campaign. Or is the unquenchable intoxication of evil too powerful to be extinguished?
